Parking and Walking Directions

The closest parking structure is Hopkins Parking Structure, at the corner of Hopkins Drive and Voight Drive.

• Walking Directions:
  • Once you exit out of the parking structure, walk South on Hopkins Drive down Hopkins Lane until you reach the Geisel Roundabout. From there, you can either follow Route 1, which takes you through a set of stairs before entering Geisel Library, or Route 2, which takes you through a smooth pathway. 
  • Route 1 (Google Maps): From the Geisel Roundabout, follow the path that goes east, towards the Geisel Library building. Follow this path until you reach a set of stairs on your right. Go down these stairs to enter Geisel Library.
  • Route 2 (Google Maps): From the Geisel Roundabout, keep going south on the path past the roundabout and follow the curve of the path to the left. Then, make the next left to reach the front entrance of Geisel Library.

Trolley

COASTER

The closest stop to UC San Diego is Sorrento Valley Station. For more information about the COASTER and its connection shuttles, visit COASTER Commuter Rail. Options to Geisel Library from Sorrento Valley Station:

• FLEX 479: Free for COASTER passengers. Check San Diego MTS for timetables. Exit at Gilman & Myers Drive. Geisel Library is approximately 0.4 miles away via Library Walk.
• North Coast Trail: Geisel Library is approximately 2.2 miles from Sorrento Valley Station via the North Coast Trail and Voigt Drive.

Triton Transit

• Ride the Inside Loop or Mesa South shuttle to the Gilman Transit Hub-North. Geisel Library is approximately 0.3 miles away via Library Walk.
• Ride the Regents Express or Outside Loop shuttle to the Central Campus Station. Geisel Library is approximately 0.5 miles away via Matthews Lane.
