Reservable Group Study Rooms
How to Reserve:
Use your campus Single Sign On credentials to reserve a group study room. This usually is your UC San Diego email address (without “@ucsd.edu”) and password.
Reservations:
- Up to 4 hours of reservations, of up to 1 hour each, are permitted per user, per day. Reservations may be consecutive or non-consecutive.
- Reservations for most rooms may be made up to two weeks in advance.
- Reservations for Geisel Service Hub Rooms may be made up to 24 hours in advance.
Confirmations:
- You will receive a reservation confirmation.
- Retain your confirmation to provide evidence of you reservation, should a conflict with another user arise.
Policies:
- VOLUME: Rooms are not soundproof. Keep voices at a moderate level to avoid disturbing those in adjacent rooms and in the wider study space.
- ELIGIBILITY: Group study rooms are intended for simultaneous use by 2 or more people. Reservations are limited to currently-enrolled, regular and concurrently-enrolled UC San Diego students, faculty, & staff with a UC San Diego email address. Extension students without Single Sign On credentials are ineligible.
- GRAB AND GO WHITEBOARD SUPPLIES: Available in bins near the library’s entrances to use in study rooms and elsewhere. Return supplies to the bins on your way out.
- CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF: Self-service cleaning supplies are available in the larger study space, should you need to clean up after yourself.
- AFTER YOUR RESERVATION: Vacate the study room after cleaning it by the end of your reservation time period or when another user arrives with a reservation for the space.
- CREDENTIALS: Using false email addresses, phone numbers, or names, or bots will result in cancellation of reservations and possible referral to the Office of Student Conduct.
- CANCELLATION: Use your reservation confirmation to cancel a reservation. Click "click here to cancel" from the email that confirmed your reservation.
- PERSONAL PROPERTY: Users are responsible for personal property. Don't leave items unattended. The Library is not liable for loss/damage to personal property. Treat Library materials checked out to your account as personal belongings. You can be assessed overdue/replacement fees for lost/stolen materials.
- LIBRARY CLOSING: Study rooms close 30 minutes before building closing time.
- CHILDREN & SERVICE ANIMALS: Do not leave children or animals alone at any time.
Violation of these or other applicable library policies may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access to library reservations.
